With the winter season fully underway, Checkered Motorsports has focused their efforts in the Florida Winter Tour RoK events. Four pilots represented the black and yellow colors throughout technical circuit of Homestead, Florida. Adapting to both wet and dry conditions throughout the weekend, Checkered Motorsports demonstrated its versatility. A podium and a pair of top ten finishes rounded off the weekend for the team.
Adam Pettit was the top dog for the team bringing home a podium finish in RoK Masters. After qualifying sixth in the rain, Pettit was consist throughout the heats and capitalized in the pre-final to lineup second going into the 25 lap main event. Teammate Janos Eiler was not for behind in third. As the main event unfolded, Pettit found himself challenging for the second place spot. As the checkered flag came out, the New Jersey native finished third with teammate Janos Eiler capitalizing on a respectable seventh.
A total of 32 competitors made up the RoK Shifter field. Among the 32 competitors was Ohio pilot, Andrew Bujdoso aboard his PCR Mxk8 125. After qualifying in 17th, the young 18 year old demonstrated his race craft and speed positioning himself in ninth going into the main event. An enduring 25 lap main event, Bujdoso crossed the line in 10th giving the team yet another top ten finish for the weekend.
Mini Swift competitor, Annie Rhule, experienced her first taste of Homestead in wet and dry conditions. After starting 34th for the main event, the young 11 year old maneuvered her way to a respectable 29th place finish.
